Move, Groove, Improve
South Vancouver Neighbourhood House
- The Seniors Hub and South Vancouver Neighbourhood House are pleased to partner with Moberly Arts and Cultural Centre to offer Move, Groove, and Improve, a program focused on active aging and well-being. Participants will engage in physical activities such as chair yoga and go on trips to community hubs to increase social connections. Instruction is in Punjabi.

Ever wonder about that interesting old box you found in the attic, or whether that sparkling ring you scored at the thrift shop is the real mccoy or not?  Drop-in appraisals will be held from 10am-3pm at all 21st Century Flea Markets, on a first-come-first-served basis. Items should be small enough to carry, with a maximum of three items per person allowed, and the cost of each verbal appraisal is $10 per item or 3 items for $25 (cash only please). We cannot accept responsibility for the safety of your items, so please take care to wrap fragile pieces well.

The Southeast Vancouver Seniors' Arts and Cultural Centre Society (SVSACS) promote arts and culture for seniors by hosting monthly socials, workshops and special events.

Come and make new friends, join as a volunteer, or just sit and chat over a cup of tea before the Monday Matinee. You can enjoy brunch or just the fellowship and movie. There’s always a warm welcome and maybe a laugh or two to share. Loneliness is an unnecessary hurt...so please tell your senior/elder neighbours that there is a nice safe place to go and new people to meet.
